White & Sable

Ham Lake, MN | Commercial, Hospitality

White & Sable is a new wedding venue located just 20 minutes north of the Twin Cities in Ham Lake, MN. With 12,000 sf of versatile indoor and outdoor event space, it can comfortably accommodate events for up to 225 guests. Drawing on years of hands-on experience in wedding and event planning, the husband and wife owners sought to create an ideal wedding venue to provide meaningful and satisfying experiences for every couple, guest, and vendor that walks through their doors.

intentional form

The building’s architecture is composed of distinct gabled forms that pay homage to the agrarian vernacular of the rural setting while incorporating sophisticated, contemporary detailing. White & Sable forms a respectful dialogue with its natural setting, carefully preserving existing native plantings and positioning both interior spaces and the outdoor courtyard to frame views of the surrounding countryside—making the landscape an integral part of every celebration.

The Perfect Backdrop

The heart of White & Sable unfolds in the grand Foyer and Reception spaces, where soaring ceilings with exposed glulam beams create cathedral-like drama. Custom chandeliers cast a warm, diffuse light while the expansive glass walls dissolve the boundary between celebration and landscape. The refined material palette—true to the venue's name—offers a sophisticated neutral canvas punctuated by bold dark accents, giving each couple the freedom to realize their own vision and create a celebration that's uniquely theirs.

Thoughtful Movement

Circulation and sequencing were considered from the perspective of all users: While staff and deliveries are able to service the venue discreetly and efficiently, guests are invited to move intuitively through the building and landscape, and the wedding party is provided with discreet sanctuaries for the bride, groom, and their families, offering intimate spaces to gather and prepare before stepping into their spotlight moment.
