Meet the Team: Ariana Radosevich
HI, ANA!
“I love to explore meaningful design through the lens of the individual user.”
What is your professional background?
I attended Iowa State and interned at Worth Interiors in Vail, CO. After graduation, I took a few months off to enjoy Colorado with my family before moving to Minneapolis to work at RSP Architects in 2019.
What inspired you to be an interior designer?
No idea! I’ve literally never wanted to do anything else…
What do you look forward to most about working at RoehrSchmitt Architecture?
Working as part of a talented team that has wide-ranging knowledge, and the potential to work on both commercial and residential projects. I’m excited about the firm culture and the team-based approach to clients and projects.
How do you want to make an impact on your firm?
To explore meaningful design through the lens of the individual user. Interior design is primarily about the user experience. Design aesthetics are important, but it is important to have a thorough knowledge of the durability and functionality of different materials, and their impact on the tactile experience.
I also love the beginning of the process — getting to dig into the details of how a client needs their space to function, and how all of the puzzle pieces fit together, and I’m looking forward to bringing my skills in programming and pre-design to projects here.
Favorite tool of the trade?
Enscape. I think it’s the most effective way to bridge communication gaps between the design team and the client. Sometimes, a client might not have experience with the process or a visual way of thinking, and using Enscape to create 3-dimensional renderings can help them understand the design intent in ways that a 2-dimensional plan might not. The more someone understands, the more they engage in the process, and the more they engage in the process, the more successful the outcome.
What would your perfect day look like?
A Saturday at the cabin — accidentally wake up in time to catch the sunrise and then go back to bed. Spend all day on the water, ideally without getting burnt. A margarita or two. Dinner with friends in town, and maybe a bonfire after. No intentional plans, just go with the flow of the day!
Coffee or tea?
Diet Coke
What is one word you would use to describe your team?
Problem solvers
What is the best advice you have ever received?
“Most people are just trying to do the best with the tools they have at the time.” Approach life with empathy and understanding.
